"The Gates of heaven were locked shut. The pits of hell were all filled up." This means that there is no room for the group in heaven nor hell (this is not a religious reference, Andy Biersack has talked about how it is not religious). They fear they do not belong in heaven nor hell and belong to something else but they do not know what. "They might call me a sinner, A walking flame from the fire that burns, Disappear, you do not belong here." These lines of lyrics is what people call them and they do not care because they have accepted that they do not belong there.

Devil's Choirs is the Fear in the world. So when you are afraid of something Life sings to you though Devil's Choirs. "Fear won't steal what burns in you" means that you wont let fear get in your way of doing the things you want and believe in. Him carrying you though the fire just means that he will help you get away from the FEAR and help you forget about Devils Choirs. "Devils Choirs" is not a supposed to have a religious meaning, it's just that everyone has their own demons and that is what the devil is supposed to stand for.
