Arlington is a series of questions a child might ask about natural things: where does a little bird go in winter? Where does the sun go at night? Where is the wind at home? These questions lead to profound questions about our own human lives. How do we know what to do (like the bird), are we lonely like the sun in the night, are we restless without a home like the wind? Are we escaping death by never stopping our endless moving? The questions are haunting and only lead to more questions: do we know who we are and why we do what we do? Is there a great loneliness at the heart of everyone? Do we need to accept our mortality to find peace? A profound, beautiful and haunting song!
