Uptheirons, there's a few allusions to the prisoner, no. 6 (the protagonist) always ends up back in 'the village' no matter how hard he tries to escape, the line "questions are a burden and answers a prison to oneself" is a direct quote from the series, and the line 'i have no number, I am a name' is another direct refference to the much quoted 'i am not a number I ama free man! Meaning
This song is about the Greek myth of Icarus. They were trying to escape from a prison and the only way to get out was to go up. Icarus's father was an inventor and built wings out of feathers and wax for him and Icarus to fly away with. Icarus did not listen to his fathers warning and when he flew to high up the sun melted the wax that held his wings together and he drowned in the sea. The sea where he fell is now named the Icarian Sea.
