Meaning
The lyrics obviously refer to the Apollo 11 mission and the Moon landing. The lyrics imply that the Moon is less mysterious and poetic since we visited it. 'Dry seas' are of course lunar 'maria' - dark areas on the Moon's surface (with no water, of course). 'Eagle's flight' is an allusion to the landing module, which was called Eagle, as we know. 'Did we fly to the Moon too soon' and the following lines ('in the rush of the race the reason we chase') refer to so-called Space Race. The words ''And when we shoot for the stars/What a giant step'' are reminiscent of what Neil Armstrong said about "one small step for a man, and one giant leap for mankind."
