The Time Lords are a fictional, ancient extra-terrestrial people in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who, of which the series' protagonist, the Doctor, is a member. Time Lords are so named for their command of time travel technology and their non-linear perception of time. Originally they were described as a powerful and wise race from the planet Gallifrey, from which the Doctor was a renegade. The Doctor said that Time Lords were dead until later he saved them with his past and future incarnations.

For the first eight years after the series resumed in 2005, the Time Lords were said to have been destroyed at some point between the original series' cancellation in 1989 and the show's revival during the fictional Last Great Time War. In 2013, the 50th anniversary special "The Day of the Doctor" concerned this supposed destruction and their eventual survival. In Series 9, 2015, It was revealed that the Doctor succeeded to save his people, which the Gallifrey was teleported to end of the Universe in episodes "Heaven Sent" and "Hell Bent."

Wilfred Mott is grandfather to Tenth Doctor's companion Donna Noble. He believed in extraterrestrial life including the Doctor, Wilfred was proud of his granddaughter's journey with the Doctor and kept it a secret from her mother. Wilfred helped the Doctor defeat the Time Lords and the Master and became the Tenth Doctor's last companion in episode "The End of Time."

The White-Point Star is a rare diamond found only in Gallifrey which can used as psychic links. The Time Lords put it inside the Master's head as a drumbeat, hinting that they are returning.

The Tenth Doctor believed that if he dies and regenerate, he will be replaced by a new man (Eleventh Doctor).

When a Time Lord is about to die, their bodies allow them to regenerate. Their bodies will heal, but as a consequence, their appearance and personality changes.

In episode "The Planet of the Ood", Ood Sigma told the Doctor, "I think your song must end soon". This means the Tenth Doctor was about to regenerate.

In episode "Planet of the Dead", The Doctor was told this. It meant his home planet Gallifrey was returning from the Dark.

Tenth Doctor said this before regenerated, meaning that he didn't want to go because he would be replaced by the Eleventh Doctor.

The Master is a Time Lord just like the Doctor, only evil. He was childhood friend of the Doctor until he went mad by the drum beats when he saw the Time Vortex. He became Doctor's long time foe.

When the Master's plan to rule the World failed, he was ultimately killed by his human wife, Lucy. The Doctor tried to save him, but the Master refused to regenerate.

The Master looks into the Time Vortex when he was young and hears Drumbeats in his ears for the rest of his life. These drums drive him to insanity making him use the Fob watch to change the Master into a human, Professor Yana. Making him completely unaware of his Time Lord life and the Drums until he was discovered by the Tenth Doctor, forcing him to realize who he really is and turning back into his ego but he is killed by his human ego's friend Chanthor. However, he can regenerate as well like the Doctor, so he regenerates into John Simm incarnation.

The Time Lords of Gallifrey and the Daleks of Skaro had been in the war(Including the Last Great Time War) ever since. Daleks and Time Lords could've been extinct if there was no Doctor or the surviving Daleks(Possibly Davros too as well). But they ends up fighting each other. Even the Master, one of the Doctor's enemies, fears the Daleks as well.

Skaro is the home planet of the Daleks, the Doctor's arch nemesis. They were created by Davros, who was also Doctor's arch nemesis as well.

When the Daleks kill people with their lasers, they shout EXTERMINATE! But it would be useless because even if Daleks exterminate the doctor, he would regenerate.

When the Time Lords returned, they decided to remove Earth from the Solar System and put Gallifrey in order to survive, but the Doctor and the Master stopped them when they realize that it was also bringing Daleks and their planet Skaro as well.

The White Point Star is the diamond with ability to have psychic links which is only found in Gallifrey. Rassilon and the Time Lords put it inside the Master's head so they can tell him that the Time Lords and the Gallifrey is returning.

In End of Time Part 2, Ood Sigma tells the Doctor that the Universe will sing him to his sleep, which including himself and the oods as well.

Martha, Donna, Jack, and Rose refers to Doctor's companions and friend, which involving Martha Jones, his third companion, Donna Noble, half Time Lord and Human, Jack Harkness, immortal time traveler as member of the Torchwood, and Rose Tyler, his first companion and love interest.

The Doctor screamed this when he realizes that he has to sacrifice his body to save Wilfred, angry that he can do so much more, but it has to end.

The Face of Boe warned the Doctor, "You Are Not Alone" before his death, which meant the Master was still alive. The Master later used YANA, acronyms for You are not Alone.

When Doctor and the Master was young, they were forced to looked into the Time Vortex by the Time Lords. It was to decide whether they would run or be inspired, which the Doctor ran, but the Master was inspired, which he claims that he heard the drumbeat.
