This song calls us to worship Jesus Christ, the Lord and Saviour of this world. His birth that Holy Night some 2000 years ago, not only divided Time in human history, but also marked the dawn of hope for every human being on planet Earth. Lost in sin and sadness, bound by death, when we accept Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we have the gift of eternal life through faith by His grace. We fall on bended knee because Jesus Christ is God Incarnate, the Creator of all things, who alone is worthy of our worship and praise. We, like the shepherds, wise men and kings of ages past, are the beloved children of God and rejoice at His birth - the First Advent - knowing that one day soon He will return - the Second Advent -- as King of kings and Lord of lords to make all things new, just as the Holy Bible tells us.
