This song is based on a JW Geothe poem. I think the lines "Nel placido boschetto caro / Spesso ad ascoltare seduto c'è" are incorrect. According to the original version, the poems reads: Io penso a te quando dal seno del mare il sole sorge ei suoi raggi dardeggia; io penso a te quando al chiarore lunare l'onda serena biancheggia.
