Completely what every teenager, young adult, and everyone of almost every age go through at least one point of their lives. Whether it's over protective parents, pressing colleagues, or just the crushing pressure of being 'caught in the undertow'. Others have such a higher image of us than who we really are. Everyone says 'i can see so much of myself in you, ' and then they try to make choices for you and control your future. This song is about being put under the pressure, stress, and agony of people using you as their puppet and you wanting out.

Beautiful. As if you're walking through a portal, picking and choosing the most horrific, terrible, crushing points in your life and tossing them into the wind, to forever be forgotten. You have to put things behind you in order to push on. Iridescent. 'displaying a play of lustrous colors like those of the rainbow' Like a rainbow, we all have our colors, per say. I like to think of this song as a way of telling some one, "You are colorful. You are worth it. Brush yourself off, get up, and make something great with what you've got."

From what I'm getting from it, it's about how society and others shape you and influence you when you're young, so you aren't really yourself anymore. As if you're the reject of all rejects, trying to find out who you really are. When I listen to this, I think of one person trying to fight against the current of everyone else; trying to be their own person and not some one elses puppet.

'Guilty and broken down inside, living with myself, nothing but lies. ' Definitely about looking back at yourself, maybe in a mirror, theoretically, and counting up all your wrongs and longing to do everything over again. It's your fault that somebody who meant the world to you has left you in the dust, and you can't make it right. A 'World So Cold'. A once beautiful world has iced over, lost its color, and has basically become nothing but numb feelings provoked by pain so strong that it can't be felt anywhere but deep in your core.
