Pretty nice song. I like it. It seems to refer to the weird changes that disconnect from old friends. Or insecurities that makes us shell up from people who could empathize with us. Like going back home after being gone for a few years only to discover that the culture itself has changed and you no longer fit in with your old friends except to reminisce about old times. Everything is fine until a change happens without warning leaving you reeling. Everyone else changes in a direction. Overall describing a loss of friends that seemed so easily preventable. Unfortunately the video seems to have nothing to do with the song. Very political compared to what seems like introspective lyrics. I guess that's ok. I can kinda see the connection, but it is a stretch. Mind you they've always been political in one manner or an another so you could argue it's to be expected.
