Powfu – Death Bed lyrics
Don't stay away for too long
Don't go to bed
I'll make a cup of coffee for your head
It'll get you up and going out of bed

I don’t wanna fall asleep
I don’t wanna pass away

I been thinking bout our future cause I’ll never see those days
I don’t know why this has happened, but I probably deserve it
I tried to do my best, but you know that I’m not perfect
I been praying for forgiveness, you been praying for my health
When I leave this earth, hoping you’ll find someone else
Cause yeah, we still young there so much we haven’t done
Getting married, start a family, watch your husband with his son
I wish it could be me, but I won’t make it off this bed
I hope I go to heaven, so I see you once again
My life was kinda short, but I got so many blessings
Happy you were mine, it sucks that it’s all ending

Don't stay away for too long
Don't go to bed
I'll make a cup of coffee for your head
It'll get you up and going out of bed
And I, don't stay away for too long
Don't go to bed
I'll make a cup of coffee for your head
It'll get you up and going out of bed

I’m happy that you’re here with me
I’m sorry if I tear up
When me and you were younger you would always make me cheer up
Taking goofy videos while walking through the park
You would jump into my arms every time you heard a bark
Cuddle in your sheets, sang me sound asleep
I sneak out of your kitchen at exactly 1:03
Sundays went to church, on Mondays watched a movie
Soon you’ll be alone, sorry that you had to lose me

Don't stay away for too long
Don't go to bed
I'll make a cup of coffee for your head
It'll get you up and going out of bed
And I, don't stay away for too long
Don't go to bed
I'll make a cup of coffee for your head
It'll get you up and going out of bed

Don't stay away for too long
Don't go to bed
I'll make a cup of coffee for your head
It'll get you up and going out of bed
And I, don't stay away for too long
Don't go to bed
I'll make a cup of coffee for your head
It'll get you up and going out of bed

I was really moved by this song. I felt the immense pain and sorrow that the guy felt for leaving this world and his beloved girl alone. It felt surreal to me that I really cried when I first listened to this song and that my entire world just felt the pain of losing myself in this world leaving my loved ones behind. This song is really amazing, just by the words between the lines suggest a very painful, meaningful and sorrowful feeling that the guy really wished to go to heaven for him to see her even from billions of miles here on earth from above. It is an awesome song that really catched my attention so bad.

It is an awesome song that really catched my attention so bad. So the part,
”When I leave this Earth you’ll find someone else”
Basically, he's afraid to die, he believes that once he does, his love will move on and forget him. He doesn't want that to happen.
This song is reminding of the memories, of the happy days. Now he's dying, he scared to leave cause he thinks he'll lose his love. His love will move on and forget him when he dies.
    ”Make a cup of coffee”
Is like, I want to stay awake, I need to stay awake, so my love doesn't forget me. I NEED caffeine to help my love remember me. Cause I KNOW when I'm gone she’ll forget me.

This song is a really really great song it gives me different feelings it's definitely a sad song but at the same time it has a really good and powerful meaning and the song is about a guy who is passing away and leaving the love of his life behind alone and his hoping she would find someone else to treat her better and make her feel like she's the one and he's expressing his feelings and how he doesn't want to leave this earth and he doesn't know why this has happened but it's time for him to go and he's hoping to go to heaven so he can see her once again. Man this song is amazing it's sad if you listen to the words closely but i love it❤

The meanings are very clear, which is a strength of the song. It's very relatable and raw, in a way that makes the listener empathize with both subjects.
    - "Don't go to bed, I'll make a cup of coffee." Both of them don't want sleep, they want to enjoy the few moments left to them. It's repeated throughout, and mostly sung by the woman, who is likely more desperate for their moments, implying that if he falls asleep he may not awake.
Note: "I'll make a cup of coffee" gives the impression of a fully domestic situation, suggesting a deeper level of love and commitment despite them having never married.
    - "I probably deserve it/I've been praying for forgiveness" perhaps hints at some bad life decisions, but little else in the song alludes to such things. More meaningful is a following line, hoping he goes to heaven so he can see her again. He's so confident in the purity and kindness of his partner that he knows that she will be there when she passes someday, and he wants to be there so he can be with her again. (Note: previous replies suggest that there is jealousy or belief of infidelity. I see None of that indicated in the song.)
    - "hope you find someone else" furthering my bracketed comment above, he wants her to find love again, because they never managed to find the joys of marriage and parenthood. He wants that for her still, and hopes her grief will fade.

The rest of the song details their childhood relationship and how it grew into something teenage and rebellious (sneaking in and out of bedrooms) and developing into something deep and profound. He is thinking about everything that led up to their relationship, reminiscing on his blessings.
The edited versions of the refrain could suggest his wavering consciousness, but is more likely just a cute stylistic choice.

This is an opinion and my interpretation. But any comments regarding jealousy or suspicions of infidelity I think miss the point of the song. It's two people who are in love, and one of them is going to die. That's it. It's beautiful and heartbreaking, and hopeful.

I can’t explain this song. It great and I want to cry when I hear it. I have have 7 or 8 deaths in my family this year so this song hit home for me, it hurts to see them go but you know they will be happy because they are in a better place. Ps. Listen to “Better place” by Rachel Platten. It will make what ever you are going through better.

This is about the poweful addiction of jealousy. He became overwrought with thoughts she was unfaithful to him, but she never was. He became convinced and revenge on shaming her as punishment for her "betrayal" so to say. Retribution for his broken heart became his resolve. The bed where together they once shared became a public display of the shame he put over her as her punishment. Publicly humiliated, she became aware of his treachery and she had been betrayed from their once sacred bed. She left him but he convinced her to return, but their bed was no more. Alone she slept and never woke as he watched through the night hours until it was complete. When she left and he felt her no more, and the guilt he felt was overshadowed by justification of the "shame" he believed happened. If she couldn't love him as much as he loved her then she would never have this "love" with anyone so he sealed her fate and i feel so saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
