The Wiggles – Fruit Salad lyrics

Fruit Salad,Yummy Yummy
Fruit Salad,Yummy Yummy
Fruit Salad,Yummy Yummy
Yummy Yummy
Yummy Yummy

Fruit Salad!

Let's make some fruit salad today (Uh huh uh)
It's fun to do it the healthy way (Uh huh uh)
Take all the fruit that you want to eat
It's gonna be a fruit salad treat!

Peel your bananas
The second step
Toss in some some grapes
The third step
Chop up some apples
Chop up some melons
And put them on your plate

Now we've made it,It's time to eat it (Uh huh uh)
It tastes so good that you just can't beat it (Uh huh uh)
Give everyone a plate and a spoon
We'll all be ating it very soon!

The first step
Eat up the banana
The second step
Eat up some grapes
The third step
Eat up some apples
Eat the melons
Now there's nothing on your plate

Now we've had our fruit salad today (Uh huh uh)
It's time to put the scraps away (Uh huh uh)
Wash the bowls and wash the spoon
Let's do it all again real soon!

Fruit salad,Yummy yummy
Fruit salad,Yummy yummy
Fruit salad,Yummy yummy
Yummy yummy yummy yummy
Fruit salad!

Fruit salad,Yummy yummy

I feel that the fruit represents the different political stances within modern society. As they have been all been mixed in one at a time, each feels submissive to the previous, and dominant over the next. Each fruit is eaten one at a time, showing how society's views have torn them apart, and other pieces of fruit refuse to prepare for their own demise nor help others. Society is left to "wash the bowls and wash the spoon", showing how we are left to clean up the mess of political groups. The repetition of "fruit salad, yummy yummy" shows that the over-watcher is trying to drill in to the public that having all these different colliding political views, or "flavours" is a good thing. This also refers to earlier on in the song, the outro is the same as the intro showing this to be a cylcic occurrence in modern society.

This song means a lot to me because I was fruit salad challenged before I met this song. When I found it my life changed. Nothing was the same, I could really relate to this song because my sock puppet is sick and I wanted to make a fruit salad for it but I couldn't because the fruits hated me. But oncei could actually make a fruit salad I decided that I would commit my life to the arts of fruit salads.

To ask what the meaning of "Fruit Salad" is to ask "What is the meaning of everything?"
Here at the Fruit Salad Research Facility
Fruit salad, Clearly being a term about racism, sexism, and all of the kinds of isms.
The excellent choice of wording: "Yummy Yummy" is to tell how rich, ripe and juicy the problem is,
The term "Wash the bowls and the spoons", referring to the slavery of the Dark skinned men, and how tough their times were.

Fruit salad is well and truly a song of us, given by the Gods above us. Preach it, Smell it, Taste it.

This has to be the most meaningful song that I've ever heard. It really changed my outlook on life. A week ago I listened to it for the first time. Back then, my best friend, Marty, the stuffed elephant, had been diagnosed with diabetes and almost died from eating a stuffed horse that had high blood-Sugar. So when I heard this I bursted out crying because I had found a way to save Marty. I hope this song means as much to you as it does to me.
