    When I hear this song, I imagine two friends who went to war, and he promised to stick together no matter what, but he didn't keep his promise and the friend got injured or died. And he felt really guilty as the whole thing was his fault and keeps thinking that his friend blames him. And he promises to bring him home from the war, dead or alive? Lol. Sad song.

    This song breaks my heart everytime I hear it.
    It reminds me of the boy I love. We know each other for a long time, but we became really close friends this year. At the beginning we were like flirting a lot and everybody said that he really likes me. We were dancing together at school dances and I fell in love with him. We were just friends, but I always felt there was something more. I just saw it in his eyes. Than one day I found out he has a girlfriend. That was about a month ago. Suddenly my heart broke into million pieces. We are still friends, but I just love him. I still notice how he is staring at me sometimes, but at the same time he has a girlfriend in he really loves her. I just don't know what I should think about all of this. It hurts to be just friends. Why do you do this to me?

    I love this song second hand serenade rocks I wanted all of their songs I can't stop listening at them but this is the one to realte to me most I think that one friendship is destroyed because of "love" and I and one boy ask his friend "why do you do these to me" "why do you do these so easily" I think that those two are friends since they were child so it is said to be "these days are arent easy like there once before" the two guy promise that they will be friends forever but it was destroyed, vanished and throwed away like a trash because of "love"

    I was love with a girl who liked me back but had a boyfriend. She had me on the hook and kept telling me well be together one day. As time went on, nothing happened except my love for her grew and grew each day. After about 2 years of waiting, she got engaged with the guy she was dating. That was almost a year ago and I still can't get over her even though I knew what we were doing was wrong. If I had her she would have been my everything.
    Everytime I hear this song I think of her when she told me that we would never happen.

    It really takes your heart. Away. I went thru the same situation! Sopz. Here it goes.
    The girl and the boy loves each other. Too much! Then some problem comes and here the boy loves the girl but the girl duz give a damn. And hez frustrated. Donno wot to do. There when he sayz, why do you do this to me.? Why do you do this so easily? You mek it hard to smile because you make it hard to breathe! Cuz the boy loves her so much. But she duzn juz give a damn. Even thou she feels lonely she never shows up! And the boi getz messed up! The boi wants her bek badly.

    I think the guy is in love with the girl, but he knows he can't be with her for one reason or another. It may be age, school, family life or whatever, so he dumped her and she doesn't take it well. She becomes depressed and it makes him sad to think she doesn't realize he does love her and is doing this for her. He is saying why does she make him sad just by her being sad. And why even when she's depressed is she still so breathtaking to him? Also he thinks of how easy it was before he realized he couldn't be with her and how his life is harder without her in it.

    I think everyone interprets this song in a way according to what situation is currently tangled with their lives because it would apply to them. For me, I believe this is a girl waiting. Waiting for him to make up his mind, because they liked each other, but he just got up and ran away from it. He then comes back and she gives him a second chance, but he disappears again. She's begging him to stop giving her hope so easily, then snatching it away just as quickly. She realises it was probably all pointless but she still longs for the moments they shared together to come back. She clearly still has feelings for him and just wants to know 'Why' he's doing it all. Too many questions are still unaswered for her.
    It makes me want to cry. This song is amazing.

    I understand this song with the realationship I am in now except for I wasnt the one to break all the promises he was and I am saying why do you do this to me why do you do this so easily you make it hard to smile because you make it hard to breath and the buttons on my phone are worn down thin that is true cause I call him all the time.
