It might be about that a girl likes someone who seems like a good guy (meaning like a pope or whateva) And he seem okay but turns out to be bad and wants to rape her (“you take your clothes of”) and she then wants to leave him but he tries to make her stay (“you wanna start talking/you know what I’m walking”) but then she leaves him anyways and feels bad about it, (hoping that I won’t cry) even tho he was a bad person. She might feel bad because he was manipulative or somethin.

I feel like this song could be about a girl who's dating someone while her boy best friend is in love with her. The song is sung in the best friend's view, talking about how he loves her and always feels like she returns the feelings but she's dating someone so they can't have a chance together. The last lyrics kind of make sense, "hoping and hoping that I won't cry" or "face the lie that I'm hawking" or even the first verse, "Nope, don't wanna, won't happen." The first verse could mean the best friend doesn't want to allow her to date this new boy. I'm sorry if this doesn't make much sense, I just kind of see it in that view.

To me, this song would be about the pedophilia issue with priests and young boys in the Catholic church. I assumed the lyric "You take your clothes off" refers to molestation or rape and the "Now he wants to start talking" lyric might be referring to a victim coming forward to the authorities, incriminating the pope or priests(s). No offense to anyone who's Catholic. This is just my interpretation.

The first comment doesn’t make any sense. If you listen to the lyrics you can tell it’s it a story being told by a best friend who is in love with their bestie. It’s clearly about a girl who thought a guy was good (reason why she called him a pope) but then he turns out to be bad (reason why she called him a rockstar afterwards).

i was thinking maybe the song is about two people who broke up. the guy (pope) comes back and wants to start talking again but when the girl said im leaving you he said " go ahead " which gives me an impretion that he is realizing her worth too late. face the lie that im hawking sounds like a self talk. like she says "no, dont wanna, wont happen" means that she will never give him another chance but like it sounds like a lie to her ownself. next few lines seem like a goodbye. like this is the last time i'll give in and then the wait for world to untrack means that i'll strategize my moving later. next few lines seem from the pope like he says im already popular you can be the highlight now. and previously he says we can always figh as in just dont leave we can fight. he always says fall together im walking which sounds like lets fall in love im walking TOWARDS you. next two questions seem to be from the girls again how do you wanna do this and he replies we can forget all that happened and give it our all. then last two lines seem like an inner conflict like she is giving into him and hopes this time it wont make her cry and regret and the very next moment it feels like she is trying not to give in and hopes that she wont

if im being honest it sounds like someone got molested by a pope T^T? like when it says "take your clothes off" but also in the beginning when it says "now he wants to start talking" like as if someone's talking to cops like their turning the pope in or sumthn IDK

So what i think this song means to me is that this guy feel in love with a girl but the girl didnt love him in that way so he goes and kills the guy shes in love with. sorry if it doesnt make sense but its what i think it means
