I am an American and have lived in Norway for many years.
The following is an alternative translation to A Child Is Born in Bethlehem
I believe it is much better and is close to the famous version by the Danish theologian N. F. S. Grundtvig which has become probably the most loved Christmas carol in Scandinavia.
