New Life Worship – Here In Your Presence lyrics

Found in Your hands, fullness of joy
Every fear suddenly wiped away here in Your presence
All of my gains now fade away
Every crown no longer on display, here in Your presence
Heaven is trembling in awe of Your wonders
The kings and their kingdom are standing amazed

Here in Your presence, we are undone
Here in Your presence, Heaven and Earth become one
Here in Your presence, all things are new
Here in Your presence, everything bows before You

Wonderful, beautiful, glorious, matchless in every way
Wonderful, beautiful, glorious, matchless in every way

I see the word undone meaning we realize we are not complete, we do not have the answers and when in front of Him we drop our arrogance. We are humbled by His greatness. Once we are undone, emptied, He fills us, but He can only fill what we empty out. Undone is a strong word, the synonyms are: unfinished, incomplete, unaccomplished, unfulfilled, unconcluded; When Christ died and rose again it was finished, completed, accomplished but only if we choose to believe. Only when we are undone can He make us whole.

I immensely enjoy singing, "Here in Your Presence" sang by Jon Egan and the Desperation Band. Excellent worship song! However, may I suggest that the lyrics, "Here in your presence, we are UNDONE", be improved upon? May be, "...we are made WHOLE" should be considered. A picture of Old Covenant worship is seen in Isaiah 6. In Isaiah 6: 5, the word "UNDONE" literally means "cut off" and is translated as ruined, destroyed, doomed and lost in other Bible translations. In the New Covenant, Heb. 4: 16 states, "Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." In view of the finished work of Jesus at the cross, in His presence we are made whole by His grace and mercy. This is just a suggestion.

Amen. I love this song also. I remember when I'm listening to it in our church before our revival night I was touch by god and began to cry and cry like he touch me and embrace me. There is scenes in my life that are flashes back and realize that god is so good to me. I will give my very best to god in singing in praising and worshiping his name.

"wonderful, beautiful, glorious, matchless in everyway" I mean who can say that about there god? There is no other god I serve but the most high God.
To the guy that commented this song before me. Oh my gosh! Those words are encouraging, I felt like crying it reminded me when I was younger before I got saved. Now I'm 19 and I'm feeling stronger than ever!
Hope people read these lyrics and get touched in the name of jesus!

Paul Mata, to be undone before God is a good thing. This means that you no longer are hiding behind your own righteousness. We are but clay and to be in the presence of the almighty is to be undone. Peter and John fell into a trance when Christ was transfigured before them and God told Moses that he cannot live if he saw God in his true form. I think the word is quite appropriate. Our God is truly awesome and we are His.
