    The prequel to this is something like "We've left this war to fight itself. And fight it does. Against our will, against the (sun?)".
    Basically, the relationship was going bad, but neither of them tried anything to fix it. In doing so they broke up and she put him down bad (blackness between lips and tongue). He got a new girlfriend to make his ex jealous, but he stops in mid sentence of "She is" and realizes he still loves the ex.
