    All of you who think this is a "bad relationship" song, I am ashamed of every single one of you. . Pessimistics are even worse than those who fight.
    No. This song to me, deals with someone who can no longer fight, and whilst they're trying to get up, they can't. And only one person can pick them up from the darkness, no matter what the cost.
    Nothing seems out of the ordinary, but the darkness is still trying to pull the two apart, but no matter what. She won't give up on him. The fires of love will save them: passion, caring, undying love for the other.

    I think it's close to what the unregistered guy says, my interpretation is this. A love of hers is dead inside with his "concrete heart." However, that is where our simlarities end, I think the guy in the song is unsaveable and she must go "fast" and "slow" through trying times to save herself because he is "screaming" and that will tear her apart it's not so much pesimistic as it is a bit like Kelly Clarkson and breakaway. She chooses not to go down with him after she did everything she could to save him. The idea of the shadows to me is the hardest to explain, I think she is talking about like an exorcism she is bringing the emergency lights to get rid of the shadows in his soul. This is her last and most robust chance to save him. In the end she is a survivor not just at life, but many people think being alive is being radiant and happy.
