Hillsong – Man Of Sorrows lyrics

Man of sorrows Lamb of God
By His own betrayed
The sin of man and wrath of God
Has been on Jesus laid

Silent as He stood accused
Beaten mocked and scorned
Bowing to the Father's will
He took a crown of thorns

Oh that rugged cross
My salvation
Where Your love poured out over me
Now my soul cries out
Praise and honour unto Thee

Sent of heaven God's own Son
To purchase and redeem
And reconcile the very ones
Who nailed Him to that tree

Now my debt is paid
It is paid in full
By the precious blood
That my Jesus spilled

Now the curse of sin
Has no hold on me
Whom the Son sets free
Oh is free indeed

See the stone is rolled away
Behold the empty tomb
Hallelujah God be praised
He's risen from the grave

Man of Sorrrows is a song that appreciates and states what the Father and the LORD Jesus has done for all of us out of their great love to us. it is like giving me an overview of what happened on that day when Jesus was nailed on the cross, the feelings of the Father and Jesus Himself. Now, it inspires me to live a life that praises Him, free from bandage of sin. It is reminding me also that I am already debt free because of the Father's Sacrifice. No walls between the Father and man anymore, what a precious gift God has given to us!!.. Actually, when i listen to this song it takes my sadness away and I start to think and appreciate about what Jesus did for all of us, it made me cry and smile at the same time because of God's goodness, giving me no opportunity to be sad anymore and to face life with a confident and security of salvation coming from Jesus alone... There is victory behind the sorrow feeling of the song, because it ended triumphantly, Jesus has risen from the dead, that made the song perfectly wonderful. I'm happy hearing it always.
