Hawthorne Heights – Bury My Bones At Crystal Cove lyrics
[Verse 1]
She sits alone in her room
And thinks of all the ways he hurt her
The bruises trace a path of doom
She wonder if she should tell her mother
All is lost in evidence
Point the blame to accident

[Pre-Chorus]
No, we will not hang our heads
We'll fight until there's nothing left
I will die for you
I will lie for you

[Chorus]
Bury my bones and burn away scars
Scatter my ashes in places I loved
In my existence in place afar
Bury my heart down at Crystal Cove
Bury my bones and burn away scars
Scatter my ashes in places I loved
After the pines in the national park
Bury my heart at Crystal Cove
(The last place I'll ever go)

[Verse 2]
She's left alone deep despair
He knows he's gone too far to turn back
The fading sun will cast a glare
All she knows is soon it'll turn black
Shadows grow longer there
And float along without a care

[Pre-Chorus]
No, we will not hang our heads
We'll fight until there's nothing left
I will die for you
I will lie for you

[Chorus]
Bury my bones and burn away scars
Scatter my ashes in places I loved
In my existence in place afar
Bury my heart down at Crystal Cove
Bury my bones and burn away scars
Scatter my ashes in places I loved
After the pines in the national park
Bury my heart at Crystal Cove
(The last place I'll ever go, go)

[Bridge]
There's no excuse good enough that makes this life seem so tough
There's no excuse for what you've done
I know I'm not the only one
I will not turn my back and run
Through the pines I see the sun
There's no excuse for what you've done
I know I'm not the only one
I would die for you, I would lie for you
I would die, I would lie for you

[Chorus]
Bury my bones and burn away scars
Scatter my ashes in places I loved
In my existence in place afar
Bury my heart down at Crystal Cove
Bury my bones and burn away scars
Scatter my ashes in places I loved
After the pines in the national park
Bury my heart at Crystal Cove
(The last place I'll ever go)

I think that the song takes the ep in an entirely different direction. Up to this point the narrative seems to revolve around a boy/man pining for his love and his lost friends, this is introduced in there was a boy pt. 3. I believe that this is the perspective of that same boys former love. The three souls talked about in Young Again, I believe are the three friends talking in bury my bones at crystal cove. I think they aren't saying that they'd die for her, they'd die and lie for the boy who hurt her. She then writes a suicide note, and I believe the chorus is her suicide note. She wants to die away from everything that took place and be buried in the place she loves.
