    I see this song as an acknowledgment of his isolation. He is alone in his spiritual path, and he is the only one their to judge himself. Although in life there are many people physically surrounding you, you are essentially the only one who is leading your own life. No one else can make decisions for you except yourself. In this song it seems he is parting with someone whom he loves, but he recognizes that it's okay to he by yourself. Although he is sad about tue departure, he is able to make peace with it at the dame time by acknowledging the power within himself.
