Flyleaf – Supernatural lyrics
Her headaches constant, increasing in pain with
Each passing day.
She can't even manage to stand on her own it's gotten so bad.

You think in saying there's no use in praying
But still she bows her head
So she can say thank you for just one more day.

Supernatural patience
Graces her face
And her voice never raises
All because, of a love, never let go of.
Never let go of...

He has every reason to throw up his fists in the face of his God who let his mother die.
Through all the prayers and tears, she still passed in pain anyway.

You think in saying there's no use in praying
But still he bows his head
So he can say thank you for ending her pain.

Supernatural patience
Graces his face
And his voice never raises.
All because, of a love, never let go of.
Never let go of...

He is teaching me
What love really means.

Supernatural patience
Graces his face
And his voice never raises.
All because, of a love,
Never let go of.

Yes it's supernatural patience.
It graces his face
And his voice never raises.
All because, of a love,
Never let go of.
Never let go of...

He is teaching me
What love really means.

Well clearly the first verse is about a mother whos inflicted with these headaches, probably from some life threatening sickness that causes her to eventually die in the end; Throughout her sickness however she prays to God, thanking him for elongating her life.
In the second verse, it describes a son- the son of this mother who has died. He curses God for taking her life; even though they must have spent countless hours praying for the life of this woman. Their prayers seem to have gone unnoticed. But the son realizes his prayers have not been disregarded, instead he realizes God answered his prayers and ended his mothers pain by taking her under His wing.
You might think that praying does nothing and that its pointless. But this song shows an optimistic view regarding God, and shows that even though you think your prayers go unnoticed they are in fact being answered in ways you may not understand, comprehend or even notice.

This song is so moving. I believe in god, but I don't worship. There's a rather long story behind that, but the short version is that I didn't have "supernatural patience".
This song actually reminds me of my grandma. She had cancer, and me and my brother missed finals last year to go out and see her before she died. We came back for the last two days of school, and then had go back a week later for her funeral. There was some sort of passage from the bible and it was really beautiful and I remember crying so hard.
Flyleaf sings about the most beautiful things, even if I don't completely understand.
    Flyleaf is the best.

Its clearly about a person who is dying and yet know that they still pray to god for letting her live one more day. The other part its about the woman's son and how even though she died he still said thank you to god for relieving the pain that she had. So overall I guess its about you don't know how much you loved someone until they pass away. 'all because of love\'.

This song is about just believeing in God even when you feel he isn't listening. The first verse is about a girl just going through a sickness that causes her pain. And she prays to God everyday to thank him for letting her live for just one more day. The second verse is aabout a guy that has been with his mother throughout her sickness and praying for her to feel better and not pass in pain. But she still passes in pain anyway. But he still Thanks God for ending her pain. Long story short have patience you have to with God he answers your prayers whether you think so or not. It might not be the way you want it to go but he does.

It's talking about the significance in prayer and belief in God. The first verse is about a girl who's been in pain for a long time. She prays every day and she still doesn't get healed. The second verse is about a guy whose mother died after he prayed constantly. In both of these cases, just because their prayers weren't answered in the way they'd like them answered, they both understand that whatever is happening is God's will. His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not ours. God has a specific plan for everyone and everything. We should continue to pray, not so much for what we want, but for what God wants and what His will intends.

What this song is talking about is how just because life isn't the easiest, doesn't mean you should lose hope or faith. Basically, its saying suck it up'! Life isn't suppose it be easy, but you can't blame all the problems you have on god. This life is a test, not a vacation. It's to see how worthy you are if god's grace. It's telling us that god will not solve your problems as soon as you ask, it's saying that god will provide you with the strength/patience to make it through and the wisdom to understand that god loves everyone. He loves satanists, atheists, christians, muslims, agnostics, jews, and everyone whether they're rich or poor, or whether they believe in him or the sun.

For Me this song is about a girl who have this sickness but she still she bow her head and said 'thank you' because god let her live one more day. Then a guy who killed his mother, because he doesn't want his mother to suffer because of her sickness, and after killing her he bow his and said 'thank you' god for ending his mother pain. Both person, the girl and the guy shows that their loves is so strong, so supernatural that they could never let go off.
