Donnie McClurkin – Days Of Elijah lyrics

These are the days of Elijah,
Declaring the word of the Lord:
And these are the days of Your servant Moses,
Righteousness being restored.
And though these are days of great trial,
Of famine and darkness and sword,
Still, we are the voice in the desert crying
'Prepare ye the way of the Lord!'

Behold He comes riding on the clouds,
Shining like the sun at the trumpet call;
Lift your voice, it's the year of jubilee,
And out of Zion's hill salvation comes.

These are the days of Ezekiel,
The dry bones becoming as flesh;
And these are the days of Your servant David,
Rebuilding a temple of praise.
These are the days of the harvest,
The fields are as white in Your world,
And we are the labourers in Your vineyard,
Declaring the word of the Lord!

There's no God like Jehovah.
There's no God like Jehovah!

    Although he may perform/sing it, "Days of Elijah" is not "by Donnie McClurkin," as your site erroneously states. The song was written by Robin Mark. http://robinmark.com/the-story-behind-days-of-elijah/ credit where credit is due.(you probably are under the misguided delusion that Whitney Houston wrote "I Will Always Love You" instead of its actual writer Dolly Parton, too.)

    Elijah was instrumental in turning the hearts of the people back to god. John the baptist prepared the way for the ministry of the lord jesus christ and was the one referred to when malachi said the lord send elijah before the great and dreadful day of the lord. The angel told zacharias, john's father, "and he will turn back many of the sons of israel to the lord their god. And it is he who will go as a forerunner before him in the spirit and power of elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous; so as to make ready a people prepared for the lord," (luke 1: 13-17). Jesus is coming again and we are to help prepare the way for him, sharing the gospel and doing what we can to turn the hearts of people back to the lord.
