Well I love this song. But I think its about his girlfiend breaking up with him and hes feelin really bad and hes talkin to her in the song. Then tht he thought he found someone tht god thought was good for him and he wants to get back together. Tht hes thinkin about suicide. And tht "6 feet aint so far down" means tht hes ready to go six feet in the ground(being put in a casket and lowered I nthe ground).

I think its about a couple that always had their "i cant live without u" moments like every couple, then he got sidetracked with other things and like pushed her aside. Then they get into a big argument and she runs out and he runs after her. She runs across the street she gets hit by a car and he's put in shock. He runs to her screaming and crying over her body. The ambulance comes takes her away. He goes to the hospital and gets the news that she's dead. And he feels like part of him has died. When he returns to his apartment everything that's there reminds him of her, so where he just can't take it anymore he starts thinking about taking his own life. Then a knock at the door. He opens it and his eyes get wide with shock that its her. At the end of the song it says "Please come now I think I'm falling, I'm holding on to all I think is safe" is where he hugs her really tight hoping she wont slip away again.

I think this song is about when a man broke up with his girlfriend, and basicly feels like he's lost himself. In other words he feel like he's close to going over the edge, in other words, " being six feet from the edge. " and he's thinking maybe that ain't so far down. And he still believes there something left for him, even though he might go ever the edge, and he feels like there's something left for him and his girlfriend.

All you have to do is take a look at the lyrics and think bout it, "hold me now i'm six feet from the edge and im thinking maybe six feet aint so far down" personally if you think bout it even an infant call tell this song is basically bout a depressed guy who is thinking bout suicide so he doesn't have to deal with the fact that his girl friend left him.

This song is awesome. Don't judge it by the lyrics he wrote. Feel the music in it. It is just fabulous. Can't express by word. Creed have discovered something very awesome to listen. And every time I listen this song it just transforms me into a different musical world. Quite having a sense of music. I will say. Creed created a different sense of musical feeling that everybody can't feel its sense. Honestly did the exact thing what I expected. True believer never can't go tin vein Thanks guys. The guitar tone is just breathless. Fav.
