Everything that etf has ever written never has had one meaning. There are many complex meanings you or I could never catch, because some of them are in the guitar licks, some in the drums, but in the vox there are always many meanings. I take this song to be a resistance towards fake love. A real love won't leave your side, not even when things are over and the moment is gone. Its easy to love during a pressured situation, but how are you going to feel when you and that person are alone with naught to say?
