This song is about more than just an abusive relationship, with the girl wanting/trying to escape
It's also about someone falling into a relationship that may or may not have started out good but either way it changes into something one doesn't like
Even maybe just a bad break-up where one feels as if they are being pushed around.
The way that it applies to my life is that somethings in a relationship happened that weren't supposed and then he was after that one thing the whole time, then everything changed and got better and things just ended and I felt like I was being mentally abused.
