I hate to break it to you
But you're just a lonely star

I try to bring you down but
Our level isn't good enough

You always do as you believe so
I'm gonna follow suit
And take a seat

I'll watch you fall apart
Cause in the end what are you without me

I'll slow this down cause I know that you can't keep up
Oh maybe I maybe I was wrong from the start
I might be proud but least I'm proud of something
You've taken pride in becoming nothing

You keep me on the edge of my seat
I bite my tongue so you don't hear me

I wanna hate every part of you in me
I can't hate the ones who made me
You keep me on the edge of my seat
I bite my tongue so you don't hear me
I wanna hate every part of you in me
I can't hate the ones who made me

I'm married to the music
For better or for worse
You say that I'm privileged but
My gift is my curse
I can't recall the last time
Someone asked me how I was
Last I checked I was a fucking wreck
I called for help and no one showed up
So I'll sit in the dirt

You keep me on the edge of my seat
I bite my tongue so you don't hear me
I wanna hate every part of you in me
I can't hate the ones who made me
You keep me on the edge of my seat
I bite my tongue so you don't hear me
I wanna hate every part of you in me
I can't hate the ones who made me

[Oli Sykes]
Just forget what you've learned
Just forget what you've heard
The truth just confirmed
I can't bare the sight of you anymore
You've become what I hate
Sold yourself for a bit of fame
Now the wolves have closed the doors
Wanna drag me down for more
FUCK YOU
FUCK YOU

You keep me on the edge of my seat
I bite my tongue so you don't hear me
I wanna hate every part of you in me
I can't hate the ones who made me
You keep me on the edge of my seat
I bite my tongue so you don't hear me
I wanna hate every part of you in me
I can't hate the ones who made me

I've found this song to be the root of how some people can overcome many things and he wants to have every part of you but he cant hate the people who made him saying that even though he doesn't "like" someone they made him who he is today so hes telling them that he thanks them for making him who he is but he still wants to hate them with everything he's got. In MY personal opinion I've read this song to be a way to reach out to whoever has those people who they want to hate with all of their might but they changed who them to who they are today so s/he cant hate them completely. I have the same feeling without the assholes I've encountered in my life I'd never be here writing a meaning of a song that has basically just explained how i feel about everyone that I was back stabbed by. I know this will sound strange and all but I felt that this song wasn't hateful by any means. It was more of a song to tell them that even if you did that to me look who's on top now. I know many people who are like that and that's what makes it different from the "angry" songs or any other song that this may be interpreted as. I'm gonna say this in spite this being a song meaning review thing on my own. Even if people say you can't do it. Even if people try to bring you down. You CAN do it if you have the right motivation. Just keep working on what you love to do and what you want to be memorized as. It will all work out in the end.

Whoever read all of this thanks for reading my needless rambling. later people.

Its about someone in their family that they hate but they can't hate them because it was one of the band memebers parent. I meet the band and asked so I got it from them first hand. This song is amazing though and oli sykes is just as sexy bring me the horizon are sooo epic! Love both bands.

Its about his band. They didn't get on, and sometimes still don't. Josh said in an interview that the band asked him what it was about and his response was 'its about how much I f*cking hate you sometimes\'.

But yeah, its about 'friends' or people that you are close to and you can't say what you think because it will mess everything up.

Yeah, pretty much same as the comment before. I'd say it was about loving someone you've lost but not being able to let them go even though you want to. I suppose a song is what you make of it and it will reflective differently off of everyone else. And as for oli sykes, can't say I'm a big fan, but he did pretty well in this.
