Underoath – Reinventing Your Exit lyrics
12th and Hyde on a Sunday
Feeling like we're gold
And we're nothing short of invincible
Invincible, invincible

It starts again
Can you feel it
It takes your breath away
Stop saying that we're invincible
It's round and round
You're uninviting, unrewarding
And I'm misinforming you
Misinforming you

We all want to be
Want to be somebody
Right now we're just looking for the exit

This is the way I would have done things
Up against the wall
Up against the wall
You've got me up against your wall
[X2]

It's you and me on a Monday
The lies that we told
This is where we both go numb now
You broke my heart again this time
You're fading out, you crossed the line
You crossed the line

We all want to be
Want to be somebody
Right now we're just looking for the exit

This is the way I would have done things
Up against the wall
Up against the wall
You've got me up against your wall
[X2]

(Reaching out for a hand that's not here
But you are here and I'm not...)

This is the way I would have done this
Up against your wall
Up against your wall
This is the way we should have done
When we're up against a wall
Up against a wall

This is the way I would have done things
Up against the wall
Up against the wall
You've got me up against your wall
[X2]

This song is about him and a girl living the life and probably doing drugs. "feeling like were gold" they are young and think that they are "nothing short of invincible." They do this multiple times but he is no longer seeing the meaning In it. They want to grow up and live successful lives but right now they're just searching for an exit from life's hardships. And they are reinventing that exit with each other. "it's you and me on a Monday" it's the day after one of their shindigs. He is feeling like it's a lie and it is. She breaks his heart. He is reaching, now, for the touch that is no longer there. So he has to find a new, or reinvent, his exit.

Great song. Its pretty much the most christian song they have haha well since dallas left. It's pretty much just saying that when the time comes, and you have to make the choice, will you make the right one? Will you be let into heaven, or have you lived your life all wrong.
It's more of a warning, to reinvent your exit is to change how your living your life. Pretty badass.
