One man come in the name of love
One man come and go
One man come, he to justify
One man to overthrow

In the name of love
What more in the name of love
In the name of love
What more in the name of love

One man caught on a barbed wire fence
One man he resist
One man washed on an empty beach.
One man betrayed with a kiss

In the name of love
What more in the name of love
In the name of love
What more in the name of love

(nobody like you...)

Early morning, April 4
Shot rings out in the Memphis sky
Free at last, they took your life
They could not take your pride

In the name of love
What more in the name of love
In the name of love
What more in the name of love
In the name of love
What more in the name of love...

Someone once said this was about jesus... I laugh because they're not smart enough to pick up the 'early morning, april 4th. Shot rings out in the memphis sky. ' right, like jesus was shot in memphis. The first time i heard this song, i knew it was about the american civil rights movement and i read an article about the song and that's excatly what u2 wrote this song about. Proves that even those around the world are aware of what happens in the u. S. , but we're not aware of what's happening in the world. Love this song!
