Another cold night another late flight it's almost show time and diverse
Citys waiting on me we got a Packed house the crowd is calling out they
Want the beat to drop but what we really need is you

If you wanna steal my show I'll sit back and watch you go if you got
Something to say go on and take it away need you to steal my show can't
Wait to watch you go-oh-oh-oh so take it away

So now the crowd is hyped that you showed up tonight anticipating craving
Something more than smoke and lights so I'll Step out the way I'll give you
Center stage alright spotlight give'em what they came for

If you wanna steal my show I'll sit back and watch you go if you fat
Something to say go on and take away need to steal my show can't wait to
Watch you go-oh-oh-oh so take it away

When you arrive we come to life our hearts collide they're beating in the
Same time you're coming through all eyes on you our hearts collide they're
Beating in the same time beating the same time

No matter who we are notated what we do everyday we can choose to say

If you wanna steal my show I'll sit back and watch you go if you got
Something to say go on and take it away need you to stealy show can't wait
To watch you go-oh-oh-oh so take it away

It's you I wanna live for

Hey, I believe that what Toby Mac was trying to day is that it's 'His' show, as in, Toby's the host. You can ask somebody, 'where are you going?'. They won't say I'm going to God's show, they'll say Toby's show. Now what Toby is saying is that when he's performing on that show, God should be in control of everything He's doing. God should let His Spirit take over Him and He'll do what God wants Him to do. God has to come at the center. Although it's Toby's show, people should go there to see Christ and they will see Christ if He 'Steals the show'. Let the spotlight be on Jesus and not himself. And similarly to us, no matter who we are, God should take center stage and should be seen in us and in what we do. Everybody should look at us and go, "yeah, that's God's Spirit working within that person!" As Christians, we should not want attention to be on us, but attention should be on Christ. Whatever we're doing, we should do the work of Christ rather than what we want. This song's message is very powerful and it goes out to both of us. God bless!

I like the song and actually see humility in it, rather than arrogance. I like how Toby makes the final bridge a challenge to the listener by singing. If you're like me, you try to make everything about "me" and more often than not, it's unintentional. That's our human nature and this song is a good reminder that we need to be deliberate in allowing God to be at the center of everything we do. Thank you Toby for humbly reminding us!

I am not a fan of the song title. Toby Mac wouldn't have a career if it wasn't for the grace of God. I think it's arrogant to say "steal MY show". All the glory should be given to God, it's His show not Toby's. Just my opinion but every since I heard the song I've felt this way.
