Our lives built on tin cans and string
But the cornerstone laid is a wonderful and beautiful thing
Sure in the ground

While the North wind is taking it's toll
You have helped me to find my way back and to anchor my soul
Safe in the sound

Oh you know me
Oh and I know you
And I know that
We can see this through

I'm brack and baring my bones
Said if we heard the howling
I'd run out to face it alone
To meet it half way

But I've still got badges to earn
So keep sifting my soul
Cause I think that I'm starting to learn
To love you that way

Oh you know me
Oh and I know you
And I know that
We can see this through

It's true that you could snap my neck
I trust you'll save my life instead
Cause our love is a loyalty sworn
If we hold to our hope
Then I know we can weather the storm
Whatever they say
Come what may

Oh you know me
Oh and I know you
And I know that
We can see this through

I think this song is about the church and how we communicate to each other through tin cans and string which is visible but we have a connection with god that is invisible and that the corner stone laid under the church is a glorious thing who's name is jesus. It's also about how we are reading to meet the wolves in sheeps clothing half way to protect the church from falsehood. It's also talking about how we as christians have more sins to over come through the power of christ so we ask god to search our souls to show us the wickedness so that we may over come it. Also that it is amazing that the god of the univers who can snap our necks chooses to save our lives instead and not only that he also wants us to know him. That's why dustin sings with such passion "oh you know me and i know you! "

It's about a relationship and bearing through things when life isn't easy. Love is stronger than anything in this wrold. It's a powerful thing.

"oh you know me and i know you. And i know that we can see this true. "

Only true love prevails. One will do anything to defend it cherish it and most importantly make sure it lasts for ever.

Its about relationship with the one you love and god, and if you cherish and love, the relationship
it will live strong. And there's nothing you cant get past. The love they are showing is true and the love wont die.
