It's a truth that in love and war,
World's collide and hearts get broken,
I want to live like I know I'm dying,
Take up my cross, not be afraid

[Chorus]
Is it true what they say, that words are weapons?
And if it is, then everybody best stop steppin',
Cause I got ten in my pocket that'll bend ya locket,
I'm tired of all these rockers sayin' come with me,
Wait, it's just about to break, it's more than I can take,
Everything's about to change,
I feel it in my veins, it's not going away,
Everything's about to change.

It creeps in like a thief in the night,
Without a sign, without a warning,
But we are ready and prepared to fight,
Raise up your swords, don't be afraid,

Is it true what they say, that words are weapons?
And if it is, then everybody best stop steppin',
Cause I got ten in my pocket that'll bend ya locket,
I'm tired of all these rockers sayin' come with me,
Wait, it's just about to break, it's more than I can take,
Everything's about to change,
I feel it in my veins, it's not going away,
Everything's about to change.

This is a warning, like it or not,
I break down, like a record spinning,
Gotta get up,
So back off,
This is a warning, like it or not,
I'm tired of listenin', I'm warning you, don't try to get up,

There's a war going on inside of me tonight (don't be afraid)
There's a war going on inside of me tonight (don't be afraid)

Wait, it's just about to break, it's more than I can take,
Everything's about to change,
I feel it in my veins, it's not going away,
Everything's about to change,
It's just about to break, it's more than I can take,
Everything's about to change,
I feel it in my veins, it's not going away,
Everything's about to change.

    Verse 1's 3rd/4th line references john 12:25

    From the chorus -

'words are weapons' - imo referencing satan / anything / anyone i.e. Music directed at attacking biblical truths

'ten in my pocket' - ten commandments

'rockers saying come with me' - a reference to rejecting satanic influences through music

Wait, it's just about to break >>> everything's about to change - imo a reference to the end events of revelations

2nd verse - the thing creeping in is sin

Raise up your swords - reference to hebrews 4:12

Bridge - a message directed toward satan

I believe that the war of change refers to the change of the world. The struggles that we all must endure as goverments fight each other and we are left in the background, left unimportant to those who believe they are doing what is best for us. The reality is that we can never be ensured the best, nor can we ever be truly safe from everyone and everything. We have to make choices and some of those choices involve making mistakes and taking paths that we don't want to, but have to. Not every meaning has to mean something religeous, in fact most of the time it is best that we don't think like that but in fact believe in what we believe to be true no matter who or what tells us differently.

To me, the real war is my struggle within myself, to hold back my selfishness and cruelty and give ground to christ. These are some of the hardest battles, to let go of my own agenda, the things i want to say and how i want it to work out--and let him work his image in me.

The chorus relates to change coming, it could be aiming at war and how it changes certain things. However it does refer to christains, so i guess it aims at the fact that most people hate how the religions try to change people, not allowing them to make their own choice.

"ten in my pocket" - a reference to the ten commandments i'm thinking?

I think this is about the conflict that rises between the world and christians as a christians seek to become more like christ.
