If I weren't leavin', would I catch you dreamin'
And if I weren't gonna be gone now, could I take you home
And if I told you I loved you, would it change what you see
And if I was stayin', would you stay with me
And if I had money, would it all look good
And if I had a job now, like a good man should
And if I came to you tomorrow, and said let's run away
Would you roll like the wind does, baby would you stay

My heart is dancin', to a November tune
And I hope that you hear it, singing songs about you
I sing songs of sorrow, because you're not around
See, babe I'm gone tomorrow, Baby follow me down

I don't know why I have to, but this man must move on
I love my time here, didn't know 'til I was gone
November shadows, shade November change
November spells sweet memory, the season blue remains
November spells sweet memory, the season blue remains

Your yellow hair is like the sunlight, however sweet it shines
Bit by the cold of December, I'm warm beside your smile

Oh lady, tell me I'm not leaving, you're everything I dreamed
I'm killing myself thinking, I've fallen like the leaves
I'm killing myself thinking, I've fallen like the leaves

It's about a rambling man. When people are addicted to traveling and is dying inside from not being able to fall in love because he can't stay in one place for long term. He wants her to join him in his nomadic lifestyle.

This song is about a man who is madly in love. He loves this woman, but for whatever reason he has to go- probably to find himself and he's worried about losing her. He took their relationship for granted and realized too late how perfect she was for him. He's happy when he's around her and enjoys watching her beauty. He wants her to tell him not to go and to be with her. "he's killing himself thinking" means he hates his own thoughts and probably wishes they weren't there, but they are so he has "fallen like the leaves"
So what happened? Did he stay? Did he go? Did she follow him? I want to know ;)

I think this song is about a man who was dumped by a woman he loved. He's afraid of losing her, and losing himself in the process. He wants her to take him back, because though he has to leave, he doesn't want to and only needs one word for him to stay.

This song without a shadow of a doubt is about a man who waited long for his woman to love him the way he loves her. Finally he realizes it will never happen, and his only solace comes in leaving, somewhere away, where he can start fresh. He prays that she'll come around and love him, beg him not to go and realize how much he loved her. However it doesn't happen. Her heart is elsewhere, as it's always been, and as he leaves, he begins to hate himself for investing so much into his lost cause.

It's about an old guy (in the november of his life) that's in love with a yaller-haired woman, who probably doesn't know how he feels about her (i love you christina), but it's too late now.
