I remember tears streamin' down your face
When I said I'd never let you go,
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said 'don't leave me here alone'
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight

Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound

Don't you dare look out your window
Darlin' everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby
Even when the music's gone
Gone--

Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound

Ooh, ooh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
Ooh, ooh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Just close your eyes
You'll be alright
Come morning light,
You and I'll be safe and sound

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh,
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh,
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Oohhh
.

This means that no body can hurt you. It's that Taylor has to leave someone that she loved and had promised to never leave. She feels really sad and heartbroken that she has to leave. If she could she would definitely stay back and still guard the little girl. This is a very strong song and every time I hear this song a strengths just gets born within me. When ever I am sad and I need support or perhaps when I'm feeling low this song just gives me strength. We are even singing this song for a children cancer hospital also for relay for life and also a old age home. I absolutely adore this song.

So powerful... It really shows the concept of true peace. That even though everything is "on fire", as long as you know that I'm here and I'll protect you, you're going to be safe. This also really demonstrates a mother's love for her child. I always cry when I think of it. You could also interpret it to have a biblical meaning as well. Just put your faith in God and as long as you believe and obey his word, he'll protect you.

A beautiful song about how when love is there, nothing can hurt you. Whatever you feel, whatever hurt is going on, the person that truly loves you will step in the way, protect you, and tell you that whatever happens, you'll be all right. Forget about the present, forget about the outside world, all the pain, the truth, all the rubbish that goes on that you just want to forget, when you're with me, none of that will matter. We will run away from the fire, the destruction. So don't you dare look out your window.

This songs mean a lot to me. I first heard it on you tube I just randomly tipped it in something in and I found the song. A few days latter my best friend died in the war and I was so sad. So I get back on you tube and found the song it really help me throw everything at his funeral I sung the song my family and friends and his family and friends started to cry. It really is a good song it really helps two I really is a song to help you throw with tough times. I really wish he was still here but now he is in a better place. The last thing I ever told him was I hate him but I really don't hate him. I really do miss him. The thing is I told him I hate him because I did not what him to go because I was pregnant with his kid I did not went him to go. But he went and now I have to take care of our kid. His son and darter is 1 year old and they are really adorable. That what the song means to me. He does not know he has kids but if I would have told him I think he would still be here today.

I first thought it was for rue, meaning it's ok to let go, to die. That she'll be safe and sound. But then I got thinking, that's when I figured it was for peeta. For when they are in the cave and he is hurt. Saying it's ok. You're safe and sound with me. But it could also be for prim. For the night before the reaping. This is what I think;)
