Stevie Nicks – Rhiannon lyrics
Rhiannon rings like a bell thru the night
And wouldn't you love to love her
She takes to the sky like a bird in flight
And who will be her lover...

All your life you've never seen
A woman - taken by the wind
Would you stay if she promised you heaven
Will you ever win...

She is like a cat in the dark
And then she is the darkness
She rules her life like a fine skylark-
And when the sky is starless-

All your life you've never seen-
A woman - taken by the wind
Would you stay if she promised you heaven
Will you ever win...

Rhiannon (x3)

Rhiannon rings like a bell thru the night
And wouldn't you love to love her
She rules her life like a bird in flight
And who will be her lover...

(corus)

Rhiannon (x3)

Taken by, taken by the sky (X3)

Dreams unwind.
Love's a state of mind.

Rhiannon was from an old Celtic folktale about a queen who was blamed for the death of her child. The townspeople believed that she must have been a witch, and feared that she would steal their children in the middle of the night. So they called for her to be punished. She was treated like an animal, and despised by many. But, the child was actually kidnapped, and eventually reunited with her. Rhiannon is also the name of the Goddess of Inspiration.
