I think this song is about Andrew going on tour while his girlfriend goes to college. He wants to stay with her so badly but he needs to go on tour. He loves her so much and therefor a bit jealous and thinking that she may dump or cheat on him. So if she cheats on him he'll do the same. but if he bombed her high school graduation, then she wouldnt be able to cheat on him
