Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect plea:
A great High Priest, whose name is Love,
Who ever lives and pleads for me.

My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart;
I know that while in heaven He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart
No tongue can bid me thence depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair,
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look, and see Him there
Who made an end to all my sin.

Because the sinless Savior died,
My sinful soul is counted free;
For God the just is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me
To look on Him and pardon me

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Praise the One,
Risen Son of God!

Behold Him there, the Risen Lamb
My perfect, spotless righteousness,
The great unchangeable I am,
The King of glory and of grace!

One with Himself I cannot die
My soul is purchased by His blood
My life is hid with Christ on high,
With Christ, my Savior and my God
With Christ, my Savior and my God

    This song is comfort in a beautiful form. I heard it for the first time this summer, and I was just enraptured by it, by the meaning and the sound.
    This song is a reminder to the singer and all who listen to it that, no matter how badly we've messed up; no matter how guilty we feel, if we're in Christ, then we're made new, and we aren't held accountable. Jesus did that. Jesus took the sin that we've lived in, and he buried it.
    One in himself I cannot die, my sinful soul is counted free, for God the just is satisfied, to look on him and pardon me.
    That part almost makes me cry when I hear it. There is just so much hope hidden right there.
    I am a part of Jesus' family. I am free from sin. I don't have to live in that anymore. God, who loved us, but had to have some sort of blood to account for sin, sent us a spotless lamb. One that could free all those past present and future who chose to love and accept that gift. And we don't have to be separated from Him because of that! Halleluja! Halleluja! Praise the One, Risen Son of God! Oh the joy of the knowledge that our Lord is love!

    The part that says when satan tempts me to despair, and tells me of the guilt within, upward i look and see him there who made an end to all my sin, to me this means that no matter how much of a mistake you make satan is going to try and remind you of it and you have to think i am forgiven by god and satan is not going to hold me for this.

    The blood of jesus is what justify us. As it says in roman 8:1 therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in jesus.
