If you're goin' to San Francisco
Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair
If you're goin' to San Francisco
You're gonna meet some gentle people there

For those who come to San Francisco
Summertime will be a love-in there
In the streets of San Francisco
Gentle people with flowers in their hair

All across the nation
Such a strange vibration
People in motion

There's a whole generation
With a new explanation
People in motion
People in motion

For those who come to San Francisco
Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair
If you come to San Francisco
Summertime will be a love-in there

If you come to San Francisco
Summertime will be a love-in there

It means that know matter where you go you will find someone at sometime with a flower in their hair and no matter what you do they will always be in love with you. You cannot deny the love they have for you in this awfully painful day that is just going to kill you in the future. The world is not a good place for you and me to be so just get over it. We are all gonna die someday so why not with flowers in out hair?
