Star crossed lovers
They say we're not meant to be
'Cause the stars in the sky, and the fashion that they are aligned.
I say if the futures been drawn out there's no point in living.
I wont give up my love so that fate can have its way.
If the stars say that you couldn’t love me,
Are you telling me that you would listen?
If the words make their way from your mouth,
Don’t ask my permission,
All is forgiven.
Star crossed lovers, we do what we want to.
Some learn the hard way,
We all learn through consequence.
I say if the futures been drawn out then nobody’s living.
I won't give you up love, so fate can have its way.
Its way. [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/s/scary_kids_scaring_kids/star_crossed.html ]
If the stars say that you couldn’t love me,
Are you telling me that you would listen?
If the words make their way from your mouth,
Don’t ask my permission,
All is forgiven.
Is it over?
(The stars keep this fire from burning on)
Is it over?
(Are you saying that you’d really listen?)
Is it over?
(The stars keep this fire)
Is it over?
(The stars keep this fire)
If the stars say that you couldn’t love me,
Are you telling me that you would listen?
If the words make their way from your mouth,
Don’t ask my permission,
All is forgiven.
If the stars say that you can not love.
(The stars keep this fire from burning on)
If the stars say that you can not love me.

It's romeo and juliet to a tee. Just like the introductory sonnet.

"star crossed lovers
They say we're not meant to be
'cause the stars in the sky, and the fashion that they are aligned.
I say if the futures been drawn out there's no point in living.
I wont give up my love so that fate can have its way. "
This verse depicts a forbidden love that he thinks makes no sense at all, hence the line about the stars. People often think that one's fortune can be told based on the stars, which is often regarded as pointless, and there you have what he thinks of how he's not allowed to love her. In continuation to his rant on prediction of the future, he says that there's no point in living if your entire life is predetermined. His love for her is far too important to let go of just because people think that they aren't meant to be.
"if the stars say that you couldn’t love me,
Are you telling me that you would listen?
If the words make their way from your mouth,
Don’t ask my permission,
All is forgiven. "
This can be a ballad, really. She's persuaded by the people around them who judge them based on their idea of fate, and she thinks that they may be right. She's starting to believe them, and he's angry because of all the things he did for her, and she's willing to just throw it all away.
"star crossed lovers, we do what we want to.
Some learn the hard way,
We all learn through consequence.
I say if the futures been drawn out then nobody’s living.
I won't give you up love, so fate can have its way.
Its way. "
For couples like these, freedom is not an issue. He says that there are always consequences to love, naturally, and some people play it safe while others take the risks. He continues, saying how there's no point in living life if life is predetermined.
"is it over?
(the stars keep this fire from burning on)"
He's scared, angry and lost, and now all he wants is for this to be over.
Okay that was fun. But what i find interesting about this song and its lyrics is that he's both confused, reluctant and aggressive at the same time. Some parts are about him being angry about her just throwing all they had away, while other lines contradict each other (as in the chorus and the prechoruses).
But it's a gorgeous song all the same.

It's about two lovers who aren't meant to be, but they love each other so much even though everyone is telling them not to and that they aren't good for each other. My girlfriend of 5 years just dumped me out of the blue last night, and told me that she has a boyfriend. Her and i fought constantly on a daily basis, but we knew that we loved each other more than we could bear. Thats what kept us going. We had a future. And she dumped me. I guess the stars told her she shouldn't love me. So crystal diaz, thanks for listening to everyone else instead of your heart.

I think that this song is portraying to romeo and juliet. Two star crossed lovers who are not meant to be. But if they do come to be, a tragic ending will be unfolded by fate.

Two persons that can never be together, because walls are in between them that keeps them apart. When the guy tried to break the wall, he was bleeding. And in the end after all the chances he takes, he let fate do the work. :((
-i miss him-

The song refers to romeo & juliet. Why? Because " star-crossed lovers" is like dealing with astrology and there fate or destiny was that they are not to suppose to fall in love with each other so it was never going to work from the start. It was never meant to be, fate already had it's way.

Lovers that can not be even though they might try, some might try and others won't,
