Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it ok
There's always some reason to feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
They may be empty and weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight
In the arms of an Angel fly away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here
So tired of the straight line, and everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting, you keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference, escaping one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees
In the arms of an Angel far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
In the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here
This song is portrayed as an angel talking to you from the word of god. To be a good person and have faith. This is about praying and getting in touch with your inner spiritual being. And Sarah Mclachlan is truly an angel from god to deliver such a meaningful message.
Wow. This song always makes me sad. It was played at my 6 year old cousins funeral. She died in a car crash and was "pulled from the wreckage" There is no doubt in my mind that she is in the arms of the angels and is one herself.
I just joined this site to write that!
THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG!
so much cLassic and so interesting..
its not common like the others.,
the rhythm, the melody , the Lyrics , and its meaning is so unique..
its lovingly and so gorgeous among the rest in the music film..
This so has so much meaning behind it.
people feel this way day in and day out
sometimes we wait for a second chance
a break and we just want to feel good &
whole again.
Well personally this song can be taken multiple ways, it has more meaning then it get's credit for. I love the first verse the most because at some point in someone's like everyone feel's this way, a second chance is a hard thing to win back from someone.
