And the men who hold high places
Must be the ones who start
To mould a new reality
Closer to the Heart
Closer to the Heart

The Blacksmith and the Artist
Reflect it in their art
Forge their creativity
Closer to the Heart
Yeah, it's closer to the Heart

Philosophers and Ploughmen
Each must know his part
To sow a new mentality
Closer to the Heart
Yeah, it's closer to the Heart

You can be the Captain and
I will draw the Chart
Sailing into destiny
Closer to the Heart

Closer to the Heart x7

Closer to your heart.

They yearn for the time when working people were respected. For the last few decades this was ignored. Working people were scorned as Stupid. (Why this song is making a comeback.) They have thus lost their self respect. Instead of working together Philosopher and ploughman, we are adversaries. Some people feel they should be paid for nothing and others would happily pay for an honest does work. Working as a team will be great. I will respect you. I will pay you fairly. WE would go places.
