    This song has to be mick's ode to keith begging him to hold on and not let the heroin kill him in the early 70's. Keith was known for wearing clothes until the literally fell off his body as well, then sewing them back together from scraps. The joe lyric is probably meaning keith, as keith's dad was named joe as well. Could be a coincidence, but with the way mick wrote, I doubt it. All in all this is my favorite stones song on the greates album of all time.
