I hear voices in my head
They counsel me
They understand
They talk to me

You got your rules and your religion
All designed to keep you safe
But when rules start getting broken
You start questionin' your faith
I have a voice that is my savior
Hates to love and loves to hate
I have the voice that has the knowledge
And the power to rule your fate

I hear voices crying
I see heroes dying
I taste blood that's drying
I feel tension rising

I hear voices in my head
They counsel me
They understand
They talk to me, they talk to me (Oh...)
They tell me things that I will do
They show me things I'll do to you
They talk to me (talk to me, talk to me, talk to me)
They talk to me (talk to me, talk to me, talk to me)

All the lawyers are defenseless
All the doctors are diseased
And the preachers all are sinners
And police just take the grease
All you judges, you are guilty
All the bosses, I will fire
All you bankers will have losses
Politicians, all are liars

I see darkness falling
I hear voices calling
I feel justice crawling
I see faith has fallen

I hear voices in my head
They counsel me
They understand
They talk to me, they talk to me (Oh...)
They tell me things that I will do
They show me things I'll do to you
They talk to me (talk to me, talk to me, talk to me)

I hear voices crying
I see heroes dying
I taste blood that's drying
I feel tension rising

I hear voices in my head
They counsel me
They understand
They talk to me, they talk to me (Yeah...)
They tell me things that I will do
They show me things I'll do to you
They talk to me (talk to me, talk to me, talk to me)
They talk to me (talk to me, talk to me, talk to me)

My opinion, It means the world around him is a corrupt place, everyone in a position of powers and responsibility is corrupt and has acquired said power in an underhand manner. Therefore, the lesson he has learned is that he has to do the same, the desperate methods of achieveing that power and hanging onto it are coming to him, what he sees makes the thoughts or the voices. The mentality of the lyrics is the self-justification of his actions to do so by any means necessary and if it was not him it would be someone else.

This song is awesome! It means your conscience is guiding you to do the right things and to see the world for what it really is. Plus my dad works for wwe and i met randy orton my self a few times and he told thats what he thinks it means.

I agree with that its about seeing the world and ourselves as we are not what we want to see. The world especially all the big wigs and all the stuff they want us to believe and i agree with the self destruction comment. If you can accept reality instead of fantasy your better off

The lyrics are written about hippocrates and all of the lies that everyone tries to fill us with. When the truth lies within each and every one of us. We all hear certain things that our mind tells us. Basically he's talking about trusting instinct and gut feeling not what everyone wants you to believe

He sees the world as corrupt, and brought out his thoughts through music, later on, Randy Orton (watch WWE if you don't know who he is) made Voices his theme song (for those of you that have never paid an ounce of attention to the WWE). So overall, the meaning of the song, is about how corrupt the world is. Rev Theory, I agree with you.
