I will never bother you
I will never promise to
I will never follow you
I will never bother you

Never speak a word again
I will crawl away for good

I will move away from here
You wont be afraid of fear
No thought was put in to this
I always knew it would come to this

Things have never been so swell
I have never failed to feel
Pain [3x]

You Know your Right [3x]

I'm so warm and calm inside
I no longer have to hide
Let's talk about someone else
Steaming soup against her mouth
Nothing really bothers her
She just wants to love herself

I will move away from here
You wont be afraid of fear
No thought was put into this
I always knew to come like this

Things have never been so swell
I have never failed to feel
Pain [5x]

You know Your Right [17x]

Pain [1x]

Anyone who has been in a turbulent marriage understands this song. I think he loved her so much that he wanted to remove himself from. The equation. I'm sick of these conspiracy theories. He was truly sick and depressed. I'm married to a recovering addict and things are a struggle when you're in the thick of things. No one in the relationship is a recovery expert, its completely unfair to judge her in this way, especially considering her own drug issues and behavioral problems caused by her more horrific upbringing. She did all she could given the advice and tools she had. Turbulent time in their marriage is an understatement. Have you ever had to live with an addict? They can be incredibly cruel and disrespectful because they are not in their right mind. It's a terrible situation to be in and I'm sure he is no different than how other addicts acted and was probably quite the prick toward her, especially when he scared the shot out of her by hoarding guns and then apparently choking her one night. She put up with a lot.

    This song's great.
But, in the booklet of a cd I bought, it said the lyrics went:
Things have never been so swell,
I have never felt so well.

But I dunno. I like the song though, to me it just sounds like some form of relationship ending. But maybe it is about suicide, that would make sense I guess.

"steaming soup against her mouth"? At first when I heard this song I thought it said "steaming soon begins to melt" and than some other website says "steaming soon begins to melt" I like mine better but he does write weird lyrics but then again don't you notice that every lyric in this song makes sense just that one sentence throws it off? So it shouldn't be to random.

I still cry every time I hear of his death, I'm a13 year old girl and people always doubt that I even know who nirvana is, but they were my dad's fav band so I know who they are! My dad even has a tattoo of kurt on the back of his left bicep! Great song! Btw: kurt usuallt purposley or accidently messes up lyrics, either way, nirvana will live on in our souls forever and ever! Are. I. P. Kurt donald cobain.

It's amazing this was written 3 months before Cobain killed himself. :( Death of an amazing music artist, I swear. It's so sad. I wonder what he would've sung if he was still alive, you know?
But as far as meaning, this is basically about someone committing suicide for whatever reason and thinking they're "right" about it since they always had the feeling they would kill themself.
