Nirvana – Rape Me lyrics

Rape me
Rape me, my friend
Rape me
Rape me again

I'm not the only one, Aaah
I'm not the only one, Aaah
I'm not the only one, Aaah
I'm not the only one, Aaah

Hate me
Do it and do it Again
Waste me
Rape me, my friend

I'm not the only one, Aaah
I'm not the only one, Aaah
I'm not the only one, Aaah
I'm not the only one, Aaah

My favorite inside source
I'll kiss your open sores
I Appreciate your concern
You're gonna stink and burn

Rape me
Rape me, my friend
Rape me
Rape me again

I'm not the only one, Aaah
I'm not the only one, Aaah
I'm not the only one, Aaah
I'm not the only one, Aaah

Rape me! (Rape me!)
Rape me! (Rape me!)
Rape me! (Rape me!)
Rape me! (Rape me!)
Rape me! (Rape me!)
Rape me! (Rape me!)
Rape me! (Rape me!)
Rape me! (Rape me!)
Rape me!!!

This song has firstly been announced via interview as an anti-rape song and a propaganda campaign to show that Kurt was taken too seriously. Secondly, the original recordings suggest that this song has something to do with Kurt or a close family member being raped by his father, or possibly a father of someone he knew or heard about, seeing that the original recordings are far more emotional than the final recording. Thirdly, In a full band interview on a boat tour in Seattle, it was claimed that the song was inspired by a lobotomized nurse at a mental institution that was subjected to endless rape from the guards, inmates, warden and so on, which seeing that other songs such as "Polly" and "Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle" have been inspired by actual events that happened in Washington State, could easily make sense of the whole scenario. I hope this helped someone think about the song for what it's worth. It is an awesome song, just like all of Nirvana's works.

My opinion: nearly, the whole world wants all his talent and anything of value in his life, waste his time doing things for others, and take and take and take again. He is 'mooched" off of for things he comes up with. He'll kiss your butt, but you will die someday and meet the devil or dark side, stink and burn! He is not the only one 'ripped off'! There are others in similar conditions.
