Nickelodeon – Danny Phantom (Theme Song) lyrics

(He's a phantom. Danny Phantom)

Yo, Danny Fenton, he was just fourteen
when his parents built a very strange machine
It was designed to view a world unseen

(He's gonna catch 'em all cause he is Danny Phantom)

When it didn't quite work, his folks they just quit
Then Danny took a look inside of it
There was a great big flash, everything just changed
His molecules got all rearranged

(Phantom, phantom)

When he first woke up he realized
He had snow white hair and glowing green eyes
He could walk through walls disappear and fly
He was much more unique than the other guys

It was then that he knew what he had to do
He had to stop all the ghosts that were commin' through
He's here to fight for me and you
!

He's gonna catch 'em all cause he is Danny Phantom
Gonna catch 'em all cause he is Danny Phantom
Gonna catch 'em all cause he's (Danny Phantom)

This is a theme song (and a catchy one at that). Its purpose, which it serves very nicely, is to first get the viewer's attention, and then explain the gist of what exactly will be going on in the show. In this case, it gives us some background information that is not supplied in the first several episodes. As well, it states the main character (Danny Phantom)'s goal: to stop all the ghosts that were coming through. Then it says that "he's here to fight for me and you." This is another draw in for the viewer. As the intended audience is young children-one would assume-it pulls them into it. "For me and you." The "you" is the viewer, or young child. I, personally, as someone who did not watch this show as a young child, but rather as a choice later on in my life, believe that this is a very well designed theme song. There aren't a whole lot of excellent theme songs going around out there, and this is a prime example of a well planned, well thought out attention-catcher. The rhyme is also a large factor of appeal to the younger (intended) audience. In all, good job to the writers/musicians/anyone else that was involved with this theme song, both the actual auditory part and the visual accompaniment (not located on this page). Congratulations on a job well done!

The theme song says how danny's parents built a ghost machine because they were probable crazy or something. Danny then goes into the machine to find out what's wrong. He gets a concussion and when he wakes up he's a super hero ghost who always saves the day. Danny gets cool superpowers like walking through walls fly and disappear when he goes in phantom mode. The ironic thing is his parents mr. And mrs fenton are ghost hunters hunting him down.

All of these are wrong, Danny phantom is a show about a young boy who is only trying to be understood in the world. He feels invisible, the reason he makes up that he is a ghost man. His parents ignore him and are evil so he blames his becoming ofo a ghost man their fault. I'm 11 years old, I understand these things that you people who think are "more mature than me". I grew up with this show, I am a true 90's kid. Bye.
