This song talks about how, when we die one day we will walk upon 'streets of gold' meaning Heaven. It says that I will leave BUT you can come to. When I leave later when you pass on to the better life we will see each other again. The streets are gold because gold is pure and so is heaven, only the purest things can comei into Heaven, like a pure spirit. So only if you have a pure spirit will you get to Heaven. How do I get a pure spirit?.?.FORGIVNESS!! If you have done something wrong, which we all do, you can ask for fogivness to the Lord and he will forgive you! and you will be able to walk on streets of gold with me! :)
