I feel your racing heart
My liquid silver arms extended
These waves aren't far apart
Black gold in clawfoot tubs unchanging
I am fire, where's my form?
Whisper crimson I intrude
There's light beneath your eyes
New overtones in view
Endless form, endless time

If what they say is true
You are a shadow in the fourth dimension
To float away with you
We see the corners where nothing happens
While we drifted we were one
Ceilings lifted walls were gone
You speak the language of the breeze
All your leaves were meant for me
The love that every person wants to be

Stuck together, I don't like revealing secrets
I'll live inside your lips if you won't laugh
My heaving hands on rotten fruit at last
Fallow fingers, there's a surface I can count on
She'd fit inside my heart and take it over
Till her cape got blown into my red lungs
Either there's a purpose
Or I'm heading out at breakfast
Take a drink, take a drag
One more coffee, ugly hat
No more mirrors, woolen bag
And I am gone

This song is about experiencing altered states and the transition from ordinary mind to altered mind-states. The "she" figure in the song may mean the shakti energy of the universe, or the void, emptiness. Regardless, this song to me is about a union/play between human and divine.

Some of the lyrics are just amazing: "my liquid silver arms, extended" is descriptive of the feel of tripping as the sense of the body can feel soft, fluid, and malleable.

"I am fire, where's my form?" is perhaps my favorite line. A person becomes fire in ecstatic, blissful altered states, and form is at that point transcended, or at least malleable, changeable, potential (where is it?).

Also, "to float away with you, we see the corners where nothing happens" is just brilliant. This means that one must tune into the silence, the space in experience. Focus away from particulars and content of experience to the silent spaciousness and then you will "float away with her" (be drawn into the void, other dimensions).

If these guys want to make psychedelic music (which I think they do from some interviews I have seen), then they have succeeded with flying colors. This is a wonderful, mysterious, and uplifting song.

I can't believe im the only one to comment on this song which is by far one of my fave mgmt songs, and i love all of them. So here goes nothing, here are my thoughts:

I thinks this song refers to music itself in the
    dimensionof thought or spirit.
Music has many form and has been endless throught time. Born in our head and intagible it lives with no physical form. It lives in our minds, heart and spirits, her words spoken through us as an medium, but we are not music, simply a shape where music manages to manifest itself from the various dimentions it is part of..,

Maybe im full of bs, but this is what i get out of it :)

    Amazing song!!
