Wake up young man, it's time to wake up
Your love affair has got to go
For 10 long years, for 10 long years
The leaves to rake up
Slow suicide's no way to go, oh
Blue, clouded grey
You're not a crack up
Dizzy and weakened by the haze
Moving onward
So an infection not a phase
Yeah, oh

The cracks and lines from where you gave up
They make an easy man to read, oh
For all the times you let them bleed you
For little peace from God you plead, and beg
For little peace from God you plead
Ahhaahh, Yeah, Ahhaahh, Yeah, Ahhaahh, Yeah

Wake up young man, wake up, wake up
Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up
Oh, yeah

Wake up young man, it's time to wake up
Your love affair has got to go, yeah
For 10 long years, for 10 long years,
The leaves to rake up
Slow suicide's no way to go, oh
Slow suicide's no way to go
Wake up, wake up, wake up
Wake up, wake up, wake up

I think you are right mad season never got much play time at all on the radio, I swear Cantrell probably paid reviewers off to give mad season a bad review he even said he was mad at Lanye for "going behind his back and starting another band" "its like he was cheating on me in a non-sexual way", It's a great album it amazes me that it didn't go platinum, I think everybody was expecting Alice in chains when mad season came out, don't get me wrong I love aic especially Dirt and Tripod but Laynes work with mad season is just phenomenal.

This is a great song from mad season it should of got more play time on the radio , actually i dont think i've ever heard it on the radio, well thanks to the musical powers to be it never got played partly due to Cobain death , the only song i heard in 1995 was either smells like shit spirit and heart shaped box, which only made me want to commit suicide all the more but this song actually saved me from suicide on a few occasions , such a heart felt song which such depth and soul searching thanks for that lanye u are a lot like me a twisted drug addict with no control well minus the musical talent , i really believe u are the most talented singer of the that era and any other generation, music nowadays is shit , its either pop music or rap crap rest in peace bro.

talk about a cry for help, but the strength just was not there. May God be taking care of you, layne. I hope you are in a better place, since you went home so many years ago.
