He was pierced for our transgressions
He was crushed for our sins
The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him
And by His wounds, by His wounds we are healed

He was pierced for our transgressions
He was crushed for our sins
The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him
And by His wounds, by His wounds we are healed

We are healed by Your sacrifice
And the life that You gave
We are healed for You paid the price
By Your grace we are saved
We are saved

He was pierced for our transgressions
And crushed for our sins
The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him
And by His wounds, by His wounds we are healed

We are healed by Your sacrifice
And the life that You gave
We are healed for You paid the price
By Your grace we are saved
We are saved

He was pierced for our transgressions
He was crushed for our sins
The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him
And by His wounds, by His wounds we are healed
And by His wounds, by His wounds

What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

His wounds are "his stripes," which, using the hebrew word, are physical bruises and wounds. And the hebrew word for "healed" also refers to physical healing. For me this means that jesus not only redeemed my spirit with his blood, but he redeemed the health of my body. Thanks to his sacrifice, i can have the physical health that adam enjoyed in the garden before the fall. If the spirit can raise jesus from the dead (and he did. Alleluia! ), he can certainly heal any disease that tries to take over my body. Jesus conquered sin, and thereby its consequences, death and disease among them. I started my eternal life the day i accepted him as my savior and can have good health if i understand his power and unending love for me. By his wounds i am healed. Thank you, jesus!

Sin caused death physically in mankind made in the image of God, but the Word that was with God in the beginning that is essentially "GOD the Creator" became a human being at the point in history marked in Israel during the Roman rule . The Jewish leaders who controlled the Temple were mad that this man was saying He was God , it was considered blasphemy, the only crime he was found guilty of. David was a king of Israel at one time many years prior and He was so so close in praise and worship of the Lord . He predicted the Messiah would come and what would happen to the Christ . This song is about that prophecy and how God himself became the sacrifice for sins. Since from the moment man sinned and lost the our wholeness ( in the garden in the presence of God) our Maker and Lord of all planned this redemption all along , and provided a way. We must have a first birth and live this existence, but in actuality life will never cease , it is eternal. But we still must recognize our need for salvation , our need of a Savior . The blood of Lamb comes from Old testament connections to forgiveness and receiving Gods mercy, rich in the Law and the Commandments the faith centered Jews and Israelites devoted much to the knowledge and connection to the One True Lord, now He appeared like the Scriptures said and offers all the salvation to the whole world , and the blood of Lamb is God Himself taking the punishment for sins so we can be in His presence again and redeemed , anyone , for everyone who has ears to hear. The blood now the salvation now has a non traditional form of grace - to be saved by grace , To realize our works alone or our good deeds will not save us or make us right with God , but that we are inherently sinful and see the world passing and fallen , but somehow if we recognize this we can come to a place of humility to realize we are wrong and that Christ truly is Life and the way and the truth and that life will not perish and we shall not be ruled by a sin that caused death . Jesus is the door similar to that of Noahs ark that saved those that believed Gods word and voice and had faith in the One and Only , as the door to the ark saved Noah and his family from the flood now the new covenant Jesus is a door to escape the physical death which imminent and apparent to all, in a culture that sees death so much and strange odd news and wars and revolutions it is quite interesting how shocked www still get , but like days of Noah , are we ready, are you ready, when the messages are out and have proclaimed the way to hope and and everlasting life , we know good is real and good is of God and we know sin or bad and evil and see its outcomes, so now to admit that we in fact ourselves are part of the problem and are sinful is a great great awakening , this song is about knowing who God is and what life is and where we are heading as unique and distinct creatures. That God loves and forgives and has a plan despite sin.

Our salvation was bought and paid for by jesus. All we have to do is ask it and live it. It is already done for us.

This song really touches my heart everytime i hear it. The fact that jesus loved me enough to die on the cross for me, to heal me, by his wounds.
