I come to this magnificent house of worship tonight,
Because my conscience leaves me no other choice.
A true revolution of values will lay hands on the world order and say of war:
This way of settling differences is not just.
This business of burning human beings with napalm,
Filling our nation's homes with orphans and widows,
Of injecting poisonous drugs of hate into veins of people normally humane.

Of sending men home from the dark and bloody battlefields physically handicapped and psychologically deranged,
Cannot be reconciled with wisdom, justice and love. (x6)

- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

War is not the answer. All it does is is yhin the population of many countries. Creating orphans and widows. As said in song.

This quotation speaks out against the hypocrisy of war. Instead of fixing anything, we suffer more and more. People say america has never fought a war with another country on their homeland, but we have the constant battle of conflicting ideals. Instead of a physical battle, we have created a mental battle fought insides of the minds of our men that go thinking they are doing the right thing protecting our country and risking their lives, when really they are taking the lives of others and effecting the masses in a negative way. Look at 9/11 or pearl harbor. Our country was attacked, and our people were killed. How can we respond by killing more people? Its fighting fire with fire.

I think the guy's saying that war isn't the solution of settling differences and it just results to more violence and casualties...
